The conflict between the Governor of Odessa and the Government of Ukraine either subsides, or goes to a new round
In Ukraine, they continue to discuss the conflict of the Odessa governor, ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili with the country's prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Against the background of this confrontation, the electronic petition on the head of state demanding to appoint Saakashvili by the head of the Ukrainian government approached the necessary mark in order to be considered by Peter Poroshenko by the law. However, the former Georgian leader himself assures that he does not claim to be the premier post, but is only concerned about blocking the reforms and the dependence of the government on the oligarchs .
Odessa Governor Mikhail Saakashvili last Friday on September 4 collapsed with deafening criticism of the country's prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. A friend of the Ukrainian president acted on the air of Petro Poroshenko “Channel 5”, where, in particular, he said that the Arseny Yatsenyuk government sabotes reforms and serves not the Ukrainian people, but the oligarchs:
- I want to ask: what interests does Mr. Yatsenyuk come from? Yesterday, Yatsenyuk made a decision in favor of Kolomoisky, as well as he regularly made decisions in favor of Akhmetov. This happens before our eyes. Let's wake up! The government acts in the interests of the oligarchs! Solutions on reforms are sabotted around and within the government. I also succumbed to their conversations. And I consider myself deceived. They lie every day. They are being deceived all the time, - emphasized Mikhail Saakashvili .
Arseniy Yatsenyuk, in turn, rejected the accusations that he was acting under the dictation of the oligarchs, and said that the emotional statements of the ex-president of Georgia "do not personally against him, but against the state as a whole." A part of politicians and experts, a flared scandal, was called Saakashvili's statement to the premiership, although he himself denies this in every possible way.

It is noteworthy that a few days before the scandal on the website of the President of Ukraine, a petition appeared with a request to appoint an Odessa governor Prime Minister. In a week, this petition almost gained the necessary 25 thousand votes for its consideration by the presidential administration. Says the director of the Strategic Consulting company Berta Communications, political strategist Taras Berezovets :
-The electronic petition call to appoint Mikhail Saakashvili the head of the government, quite possibly began, indeed, as an initiative of citizens, but then I noticed the obvious signs of the PR campaign of Saakashvili and his team in all this. As for how much he was aimed at this position, I think, taking into account the fact that Ukrainian legislation does not give him the opportunity to run for the presidency without a ten-year qualific in citizenship and residence in Ukraine, Saakashvili, of course, considered the position of prime minister as a key one. And the position of chairman of the Odessa regional administration for him was a kind of intermediate link on the way to achieving this goal. The expert community is now actually divided equally - those who support Saakashvili's desire to become the prime minister, and those who oppose. I believe that Mikhail Saakashvili could become a good head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, but not today, since he still needs to show his successful history of governorship in the Odessa region. He has many really good promising projects, but so far they are not brought to the implementation stage, ”Taras Berezovets believes.
For 100 days of work in Odessa, Saakashvili hired Maria Gaidar, the daughter of the Russian reformer Yegor Gaidar, fired exactly half of the regional administration workers, promised the townspeople new roads, invited the Odessa police officers from California. As Petro Poroshenko said in Sunday interview with Ukrainian television channels, the reason for the conflict between Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Mikhail Saakashvili, in his opinion, does not have a personal factor and is due to the fact that both of them are not satisfied with the course of reforms in the country.

On Monday, September 7, the conflict between Saakashvili and Yatsenyuk gradually began to subside. Saakashvili even praised Yatsenyuk for decisive actions in the fight against corruption schemes at customs, as well as the fact that the prime minister finally fired the head of the State Administration of Denis Antonyuk. He was called the man Igor Kolomoisky, who blocked the aviation plans of the Odessa governor. It was this resignation that became the reason for insulting statements in the media of the disgraced oligarch, and not only to Saakashvili. “When a dog bites someone without a muzzle, you need to punish the dog, and, importantly, its owner, ” said Kolomoisky, implying by the “master” of his main enemy Petro Poroshenko.
The President of Ukraine did not respond to this attack of Kolomoisky, and Saakashvili wrote in response on his Facebook page :
"The Ukrainian oligarchy, just like Putin, interferes with the formation of the Ukrainian state and is the main nutritional environment of political corruption. The people will soon indicate impoverished remnants from gang decades to their place."
One of the leaders of the Ukrainian Association of Patriots - Dill - Verkhovna Rada Vitaly Kupriy , who was funded by the oligarch, was in defense of Kolomoisky.

- Saakashvili accusations are absurd. I would support his candidacy for the premier post if he objectively submitted information about corruption and blocking reforms. The fact that we have corruption and the reforms are inhibited, the president is primarily guilty. He is the guarantor of the Constitution, he has all the necessary powers, he put his Kum in the position of general prosecutor, he has the largest faction in the Rada, and 90% of the responsibility for the situation in the state lies with the president.
Despite the broken scandal due to Saakashvili's statements, it is unlikely that the Ukrainian oligarchs will refuse to control the government, the President of the Center for Economic Development Alexander Pashaver suggests:
-The oligarchs still have a serious impact on the life of Ukraine. Saakashvili is not just unhappy with this. It’s wild for him! He is a radical person, and we have the power of "moderate". Our Maidan radicals could not form power. And now moderate in power is pursuing a policy of moderate reforms. Saakashvili a person of a completely different temperament and completely different views. Therefore, his conflicts arise not only with the prime minister, but also with many other representatives of the authorities. I follow his career in Ukraine and see that he consistently holds posts. And what his next post will be, it seems to me, depends on how radically the president is radical, ”says Alexander Easter.
He is a radical person, and we have the power of "moderate"
It is likely that Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who has lost the popularity of the "Popular Front", will eventually have to leave the premier chair - however, it is not now that one of the conditions for providing financial assistance to Ukraine from the International Monetary Fund remains the stability of the current government, the political strategist Tarasovets said:
- President Poroshenko in a Sunday interview discarded the possibility of resignation of both Prime Minister Yatsenyuk and the head of the Odessa State Administration Saakashvili. Depending on the state of the country's economy, the situation, of course, may change. Yatsenyuk’s positions significantly strengthened the Sunday visit to Kyiv by the director of the IMF, Christine Lagard and her statement that the Ukrainian economy begins to recover and that it is delighted with successes on this path of the president and the government. Therefore, of course, the resignation after such words becomes even unlikely, ”Taras Berezovets states.
