In Dubna, after the police detention, musician Sergei Pestov died. Doctors claim that he died of coronary heart disease. According to Friends and relatives of Pestov, the death of the former drummer of the Zhar-Fitz group occurred after law enforcement officers who sought drugs were visited in his garage.

The 57-year-old ex-Baster of the Zhotitsa group Sergey Pestov from Dubna near Moscow was detained by police officers on the evening of September 4, when he played four more musicians-three men and girls-played in his own garage converted under the rehearsal base. About 22 hours, five criminal investigators broke into the room. According to a friend of the deceased musician Ilya Nikitsky, law enforcement officers were looking for marijuana in the garage. At the time of the detention of Pestov, Nikitsky was not on the basis, he found out about all the details of the detention later.

“I have known Sergey for a very long time, ten years ago we played in the same group with his son, he helped us, taught us. There is no secret that Sergey smoked grass, but at the time of his detention he had it literally for two jambs, he immediately gave it to the police officers. This amount was drawn to the maximum of the administrative. Therefore, the comrades of the police were unhappy and demanded to give them more, ”says Nikitsky.

One of the men detained along with Pestov, on the terms of anonymity, told Mediazone that four policemen who broke into the garage were in civilian clothes, and only one of the operational employees, “steering the process” in uniform. According to him, despite the fact that none of the musicians resisted, the police began to beat everyone in the room, having previously put on their handcuffs. Pestov was not enough - the police tied his hands behind him with his own belt and began to beat the drummer on the head.

“They broke to us, interrupting the rehearsal. They began to blame us on the floor, although it was not there. I turned out to be lying at the table, so when one of the police officers tried to hit my chest with his foot, he could not reach normally. I was lying a meter from Seryoga and saw that he was not weak in my head, ”says an eyewitness. He claims that Pestov shouted during the beating: “What are you doing, I don’t resist, you will kill me!” The police did not react to screams.

“The police did not introduce themselves, they did not have any papers with them - they worked with an ax. When they beat us, they chuckled so disgusting, like they played in James Bond. And after that they started witnesses. Those were clearly originally with the cops - we played in garages, there is no one there in the evening. And when one of us asked if it was possible to drink water, one of the witnesses answered that it was impossible, ”says the musician.

According to the detainees, it is known that the police, “from whom it was clearly smelled of alcohol,” kept them in the garage for about an hour, then all the musicians were taken to the OMVD in the city of Dubna, where they were divorced in different offices, and then two were taken to a medical examination.

“After the examination, we returned to the department. They asked me for several hours what I did in the garage, whether Seryoga was selling to us, ”says a friend of Pestova. By four in the morning, all the detainees, except for Sergey, were released. According to an eyewitness, before leaving the department, he saw Pestov sitting in the corridor surrounded by the police, leaning his back against the wall and lowering his head on his hands.

The wife of the musician Irina came to the police department by 11:50 in the morning, but she did not find her husband there. The police spent her in one of the offices and only after 20 minutes reported that Sergey was taken to MSCh-9 to provide medical care-during the interrogation of Pestov, they said, felt badly.

“We interviewed ambulance doctors on our own. They say that by their arrival, Sergei was in a state of coma of the third degree. That is, he was actually already dead, ”says Nikitsky. In the medical unit, Irina saw her husband’s body on a gurney: by that time, doctors noted his death.

To find out the cause of the death of the musician, a friend of the Pestov family Yuri Korovin personally went to the morgue, where he talked with the expert.

“I know the pathologist well, I had no doubt about its truthfulness. He told me that the body is clean: there is no severe damage to it. There are abrasions and hematoma on the head, but, according to the specialist, this could not cause death, ”says Korovin. He suggests that his friend could torture his current and exert strong psychological pressure on him - this could be enough to provoke a heart attack, he believes. Korovin tried to talk with the mayor of Dubna Vyacheslav Mukhin, but the head of the city police already told his version of Pestov’s death.

“I broke into the office of Mukhin, told him everything as it was. But the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dubna had already told him some nonsense: that Sergey was allegedly released from the police, he was hanging around somewhere, then he returned there with some friend-legalist. There was none of this: the police mocked him all night. Sergey was a very kind and harmless uncle, but around his death there is one continuous lie. Well, I saw that in the eyes of the mayor, when he listened to me, there was nothing. There is no sympathy, one emptiness, ”says Korovin. In his opinion, the police, in the case of Pestov’s detention, at least allowed criminal negligence.

“The guys drank and decided to cut down a“ wand ”for free and show the FSKN what eagles they are,” said Nikitsky. He claims that now there are serious pressure on the detainees together with Pestov - the police threaten them with the initiation of the case under Article 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition of narcotic drugs), because during their medical examination they allegedly found traces of the drug. Nevertheless, two of them applied to the prosecutor with a statement about the circumstances of the detention. The friends of the deceased musician claim that they are clean before the law; Korovin and Nikitsky plan to seek a fair investigation of the death of Sergei. Irina Pestova filed a statement on her husband’s murder in the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee. The funeral of the ex-bapalist of the "Firebird" will take place on the morning of September 9th.

According to one of the musicians, detained along with Pestov, when he submitted an application to the prosecutor’s office, the operative called him, who led them to the detention: “I told him that I was currently writing a statement. He was taken aback for a few seconds, then invited to go to his office. During the meeting, he so seemed to say in a friendly way: "You know what the investigator needs to say."

The prosecutor's office in the city district of Dubn "Mediazone" reported that the statement from Pestov’s wife has not yet been received. However, the actions of the Dubnensky police are already being checked.

“I know that the Investigative Committee for the city district of Dubna conducts an audit on the application. According to its results, they will evaluate the actions of police officers, ”said Albert Moskalev prosecutor.
