The DPR stopped supplying coal to Ukraine
The authorities of the self -proclaimed DPR temporarily blocked the supply of coal to the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the Donetsk news agency.
“At the moment, in response, we will block Ukraine with coal supplies, we have stringent requirements. Ukraine now has a critical situation, they require 1 million 200 thousand tons per month of our fuel, which we will supply if the blockade for fuel and spare parts for wagons and locomotives is removed, and if they don’t shoot, ”said the DPR Minister Semen Kuzmenko.
The supply of fuel and spare parts for railway transport from Ukraine to the DPR were completely discontinued at the end of June - since then, railway workers in an unrecognized republic have been working on old reserves. In addition, Ukraine has banned the supply of components and spare parts for the repair of railway transport in the DPR.
In mid -August, Kyiv stated that in preparation for the heating season, the country should accumulate 17 billion cubic meters of gas and 3.2 million tons of coal. Purchases in the Donbass amounted to about 450 thousand tons per month.
