A conversation about Russian science in any environment sooner or later turns to the question of how “we have” and how “they have”, meaning by the latter, as a rule, Western countries. During the discussion, it gradually becomes clear that, they say, “there” everything is different, but we have our own traditions - why compare? Nevertheless, through this kind of comparison, vague contours of the future are drawn, and a background of expected changes arises.
