
In Moscow, the leader of the god of “God Kuzi” Andrei Popov and several of his closest assistants were detained, Andrei Galiakberov, press secretary of the metropolitan police, told Interfax .
In seven apartments, police conducted searches during which religious literature was seized, more than 40 million rubles, $ 100 thousand, as well as several rare animals that are threatened with disappearance.
At the same time, the police representative did not specify whether the criminal case was opened against Popov, who calls himself “God Kusey”.
“Personal computers and notebooks containing the so -called“ accounting records ”indicating the unlawful activities of members of the sect of citizens' cash,” he added.
In May 2014, Popov was interrogated in the criminal case of beatings, but then he refused to testify. In the same month, the police conducted similar searches for several apartments, seized 200 million rubles, $ 150 thousand, children's pornography, religious literature and more than 50 species of rare animals: Iguan, Crocodile, Echidna, Varan, Branch and others, which were transferred to the capital's zoo.
The Sect of God Kuzi arose in the late 1990s.
