The judge of the Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow Oksana Chubarova arrested for 15 days the leader of the ethnopolitical association "Russian" Dmitry Demushkin, the OVD-info reports . He was found guilty under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public demonstration of prohibited symbols).

Demushkin was charged with the publication of a video using the symbols of the Slavic Union movement founded by him. The movement was prohibited as extremist.

On the eve of Demushkin, the TFR was interviewed as part of a pre -investigation verification on the facts related to the 2013 Russian march. He refused to answer questions, referring to the 51st article of the Constitution.

During a survey in the TFR, employees of law enforcement agencies handed Demushkin a summons about the turnout on Friday to the police department in the Bratevo district without explaining the reasons and goals. “Most likely, I will be put under administrative arrest for some picture so that I could not participate on September 15 in the hearings of the Moscow City Court to prohibit the EPO“ Russians ”. And since the defendant in this case is only two, Alexander Belov and I will deprive us of the opportunity to put forward a petition and the decision will be made without us. This is the principle of adversarial,” Demushkin said. Belov (Potkin) is under arrest on charges of laundering money and in extremism.

On August 12, Moscow Prosecutor Sergei Kudeneev sent a representation to the Moscow City Court with a demand to recognize extremist and prohibit the association of the "Russians". According to the prosecutor's office, the program documents of the association "are aimed at arousing hostility in relation to a group of persons united on the basis of nationality and contain calls for the beginning of the national liberation struggle for the creation of their own national state." It was also noted that the leaders and activists of the "Russians" were brought to criminal and administrative liability for the commission of an extremist orientation. "

On August 14, the Moscow prosecutor's office suspended the activities of the EPO "Russians" before the court consideration of the application for its ban. Demushkin then noted that he intends to appeal the decision of the supervisory authority in the near future.

In the spring and summer, Demushkin repeatedly subjected administrative arrest .

On August 28, police officers notified Demushkin of registration . Now he will have to regularly visit the internal affairs bodies. There they will conduct explanatory conversations with him. “They said that I was registered, they say, as a particularly dangerous extremist,” Demushkin said. “All in the best traditions of the Soviet Union.”
