The Office of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea is asking local residents to help identify the serial killer. As reported on the department’s website, the Investigative Committee is currently investigating a criminal case involving 19 episodes of murder of elderly women that were committed in Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Mari El, Prikamye, Ivanovo, Sverdlovsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions. In addition, the department notes, from 2011 to 2012, 13 more similar crimes were committed on the territory of the Volga, Ural and Central Federal Districts, for which the same person may be behind them. So far, investigators have not been able to establish the identity of the killer, and therefore they give him a verbal description: from 20 to 35 years old, about 175 centimeters tall, thin, but at the same time physically developed, has a “strong oriental appearance.”
