According to him, this money was “stolen” during the construction of the cosmodrome and “settled” in various Russian regions. “The criminal investigation continues. The investigation is taking place in more than 20 regions of the country,” the agency’s interlocutor said. At the end of September, investigators will again extend the investigation period, since they still need time to analyze a large number of documents, the source said, adding that the number of persons involved in the case may yet increase. “The investigation has already established that not only the leaders of Dalspetsstroy, but also their subordinates participated in the thefts. The suspects include the former chief accountant of one of the branches of the organization Bugai E.G.,” he explained. In total, in recent months, in connection with the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome, 20 criminal cases have been initiated - about theft, abuse of power and delays in paying wages to workers. Among the accused are the head of Dalspetsstroy, Yuri Khrizman, his son Mikhail, as well as the chairman of the legislative Duma of the Khabarovsk Territory, Viktor Chudov.
