The head of Ingushetia, who came to the polling station, Yunus-Bek Evkurov forgot to take a passport with him and waited for him to bring him a document left at work, RIA Novosti reports.
On Sunday, in 40 settlements of Ingushetia, including four urban districts, one urban settlement and 35 rural settlements, municipal elections are held.
"By 10 o’clock in the morning, the head of Ingushetia Yunus -Bek Evkurov voted at the polling station in Magas. A small hitch occurred during the voting process - Yevkurov forgot a passport in the office," the administration of the republic said.
It is emphasized that the head of the region did not insist that he was allowed to vote without an identity document. “Everything is equal to the law. There is a voting procedure that is prescribed by law and it must be observed. In matters regarding the requirements of the laws of the Russian Federation, there should be neither positions, nor relatives, nor acquaintances,” Yevkurov said.
When they brought him a passport, he received a ballot and voted. After that, I checked the work of the commission on the site and noted that the elections are held in an organized manner.
