Power polling stations in Kamchatka were closed, there was a counting of votes in the elections of the governor of the region - the first in 11 years, the chairman of the regional election commission Inginina told Interfax .
She noted that, according to the latest data, 67,44 people voted in the election of the head of the region or 28.09 % of the total number of voters, which is about 244 thousand people.
In the Kamchatka Territory, a vote in the early elections of the governor passed. The acting head of the region is claimed by the acting governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Ilyukhin, nominated by United Russia, the first secretary of the Kamchatka regional committee of the Communist Party Mikhail Smagin, the leader of the Kamchatka branch of the Patriots of Russia, Alexander Zrodikov and the coordinator of the regional branch of the LDPR Valery Kalashnikov. If none of the candidates is gaining more than 50% of the vote, the second round will be organized.
The last time the elections of the governor of Kamchatka were held in 2004. After that, the governors were appointed.
