Parnassus admitted its defeat in the elections in Kostroma

Leonid Volkov, the head of the staff of Parnas in Kostroma, admitted that the party could not overcome the 5% barrier in the elections to the Kostroma Regional Duma. He writes about this on his Twitter.

Previously, Volkov stated that according to Eccith Parnas, the party overcame the barrier and gained 6% of the vote. To obtain a mandate, at least 5%was needed.

According to ectes conducted by VTsIOM, Parnassus scored only 2.6%.

At the moment, the regional CEC has not yet published the final election results. They are expected no earlier than 7-8 in the morning.

At 3:00 Moscow time, 17.61% of protocols were processed in the Kostroma region. According to the GAS-Electors system, Parnassus is gaining 1.33%. The first place in United Russia with 55.50%.

Initially, the opposition democratic coalition planned to participate in the elections for lists on the basis of Parnas in four regions of the country - in the Kostroma, Kaluga, Novosibirsk and Magadan regions. On August 14, the party was allowed to elections only in the Kostroma region.

The reason for the party’s inaccurate elections to the Novosibirsk and Magadan regions was the presence of a large number of invalid signatures. In the Kaluga region, the opposition itself refused to pass the signatures in the election room.

On September 13, in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a single voting day took place. 21 governor, 11 regional parliaments and 23 local Duma were selected.
