In Afghanistan, Taliban stormed 400 prisoners

The police of Afghanistan reported that the Taliban stormed the prison in the city of Gaznia, having freeed many prisoners, reports Reuters .

Journalists report the bodies of two suicide bombers and a broken car, which, apparently, was used to destroy the main entrance to prison.

The representative of the Taliban Zabikhulla Mujahid said that the militants and bombers attacked the prison at about 2 a.m. and released 400 prisoners.

“Forty Afghan security forces and prison guards were killed; Important military officials of the Mujahideen were released, ”he said.

The deputy governor of the city of Gazel Muhammad Ali Ahmed said that 352 prisoners, including 150 Taliban, escaped. He also said that seven Taliban and 4 security forces were killed.

Security service employees do not confirm information about the number of exempted prisoners or the number of victims.

The Taliban are students of the Islamist movement originating in Afghanistan in 1994. They are fighting for the overthrow of the government supported by the country, for the expulsion of foreign troops from Afghanistan and the imposition of a more strict interpretation of Islamic law.
