In the governor's elections in Russia, half of the voters voted

In the past 13, the governor’s elections in the 21st region of Russia voted a little more than 50% of voters, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the statement of the Deputy Prime Minister of the CEC Leonid Ivlev.

“The average turnout in the elections of chapters was 51.4%,” Ivlev said at a briefing on September 14.

In 2013, the turnout in the governor's elections reached 34.3%, in 2014 - 46.2%.

On a single voting day in the regions of Russia, 11 thousand elections of all levels took place, the election of governors took place in 23 entities, in 21 of them it was direct elections of the head of the region.

The record turnout was recorded in the Kemerovo region and Tatarstan - 83% and 84%, respectively. In both entities, the current chapters won: Aman Tuleyev in the Kemerovo region and Rustam Minnikhanov in Tatarstan.

The least voters came to sites in the Arkhangelsk region, where the turnout in the governor's election amounted to 21%.

In the Irkutsk region, the second round of the governor’s elections will be held , since none of the candidates gained more than 50% of the vote. The current governor Sergei Eroshchenko (United Russia), according to the results of processing, gained 49.56% of the vote. His closest competitor, candidate from the Communist Party Sergey Levchenko - 36.66%.
