
The movement along the highway connecting Austria and Hungary was temporarily discontinued due to the expected influx of refugees. This was announced by the Austrian road operator ASFINAG. The ban was operating for less than two hours.
We are talking about the OST Autobahn A4 highway, laid from Vienna to the city of Nickelsdorf, which is located on the border with Hungary. The movement was discontinued from both the Austrian and the Hungarian side. The same concerned the B10 site.
The company advised drivers who need to get to Hungary to use the bypass tracks through the settlements of Kittzee (borders on Slovakia) and Deutscracus (borders with Hungary south of Nickelsdorf).
The day before, due to the influx of refugees, Germany introduced control on the border with Austria. Also for some time, the movement of trains between Germany and Austria was suspended for some time.
For Sunday, September 13, more than five thousand refugees arrived in Hungary. The Hungarian authorities are currently continuing the construction of the wall on the border with Serbia, which should reduce the flow of migrants. On September 15, Hungarian police will get the opportunity to arrest migrants who illegally crossing the border.
