Journalist Oleg Kashin appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a statement on the transfer of the investigation into the FSB of the case of an attack on him in November 2010, Kommersant reports .
"When the preliminary investigation authorities provide all kinds of support to the person who is suspected of such crimes, I really fear for my life," Kashin notes.
The main reason for Kashin’s request was the decision of the investigator Vadim Sotskov to release, on the wizard of the bank of the managing defense enterprise, Zaslon Alexander Gorbunov, whom the journalist calls the possible organizer of the attack. A few days before this decision, the court in St. Petersburg refused to change the measure of restraint Gorbunov to house arrest in the case of illegal turnover of weapons.
The second argument Kashin was the possible involvement of Gorbunov in the disclosure of state secrets. The FSB, conducting the operational support of the case, suspect the manager of the defense enterprise of the transfer to a certain US citizen of information constituting GOSTain.
On September 7, Kashincalled the names of the attached but him . This is Danila Veselov, the head of the security of the St. Petersburg Mechanical Plant, the Zaslon unit, and Vyacheslav Borisov, a security officer. According to Kashin, Veselov was waiting for him at the house, standing with a bouquet, while Borisov, leaving Veselov’s back, began to beat the journalist with a reinforcing rod, inflicting, in particular, at least 50 blows on the head.
The accomplice of the crime is Mikhail Kavtaskin, also a guard of a mechanical plant. He sat behind the wheel of Ford Focus, on which the attackers arrived and then disappeared. According to the case file, Gorbunov paid guards for attempted Kashin 3 million 300 thousand rubles. In addition, he gave Borisov a clock.
Veselov and Kavtaskin, as the victim writes, were detained and arrested in June. On June 24 and 25, respectively, the guards were charged under part 3 of article 30 - paragraphs "Z", "Z" Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy from selfish motives or hiring).
Borisov was charged in absentia, he was put on the federal wanted list. Meanwhile, Kashin notes, it is known that the wanted person is located in the Belarusian Mogilev, where until recently two of his accomplices were hidden. “Gorbunov sent them there, this is his hometown, he has opportunities there to hide someone,” the journalist explains.
"Zaslon" is controlled by the structures of Anatoly Turchak - friend of Vladimir Putin and the father of the Pskov governor Andrei Turchak. After the arrest of Gorbunov, Kashin noted that in 2010, communicating with the Live Journal, he quarreled with the governor. “Tourchak threatened me in LiveJournal, and then I was also transferred to me separately from the Turchak,” the journalist wrote.
In decisions on attracting guards as accused Gorbunov, they call a participant in a "criminal conspiracy to commit a crime." Meanwhile, in the attempt case, he appears only as a witness.
At the same time, Veselov, in his petition for the conclusion of the pre -trial agreement, promised "to report information about the circumstances of the organization and the commission of the crime, the role of each of its participants - Gorbunov, Turchak and others." The TFR refused the deal with Veselov.
On September 11, it became known that investigator Alexei Serdyukov was removed from the affairs related to Gorbunov, and transferred them to Vadim Sotskov. “The reasons for the removal of Serdyukov are obvious: he investigated all the affairs objectively, quickly and reliably; maybe because someone is unprofitable that he is just the case,” said Lawyer Grigory Lee, representing the interests of one of the accused of the abduction of Gorbunov Danila Veselov.
“Serdyukov is exactly the investigator who actually disclosed the Kashin case: it was he who established the performers and received the first testimony,” said Kashin Ramil Akhmetgaliev. Sotzkov had previously been conducting an attack on a journalist. The lawyer Kashin emphasized that under Sotskov the case went the most slowly. “Now we have the feeling that the case will be diverted on the brakes,” said Akhmetgaliev.
