“The Kostroma elections showed us what a terrible allergy the authorities are caused by any truly disagreeing with it and real opposition forces. PARNAS initially had little chance in Kostroma. If only because Kostroma is not Moscow. The farther from Moscow, the less people's awareness, the lower their social activity, the worse their understanding of what is really happening in the country and even in their native land.

People may really be dissatisfied with their lives and local authorities, but citizens cannot clearly formulate what they want and what exactly they are dissatisfied with. And if they are dissatisfied with the authorities, this does not mean that the people are ready to vote for the opposition."
