The police will interrogate all the participants in the incident in the Manege

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow reports that all participants in the attack on the exhibition in the Moscow Manege on August 14, as well as representatives of the victim, are the organizers of the exhibition and eyewitnesses of the incident, will be called up to the police.

This was told by TASS by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow Andrei Galiakberov. He added that at interrogations and confrontations, all the circumstances of the incident will be established and a decision was made from attracting specific persons as accused.

On August 14, activists of the “God's will” movement, led by Dmitry Enteo (Tsorionov), damaged several exhibits of the exhibition “Sculptures that we do not see” , including four works by Vadim Sidur. The attackers explained their actions by the fact that these works of art insulted the feelings of believers.

All damaged exhibits are included in the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation. The cost of their restoration is estimated at 1.1 million rubles.

The Tver court of Moscow fined the attack participants for 1000 rubles. The Moscow prosecutor's officerefused to institute criminal proceedings under the article “Vandalism” in connection with the attack on the exhibition. The leadership of the Manezh Museum and Exhibition Association stated that it insisted on initiating a criminal case against activists of God's will who arranged a pogrom at the exhibition.

On September 14, the Office of the Investigation of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow opened a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Destruction or damage to cultural values" on the fact of the incident in the Manege.
