The Dynasty Foundation of the founder of Vimpelcom Dmitry Zimin will stop working on October 31, according to the organization’s website.
"Interfax" Zimin said that he would remain in Russia and "something will do," but refused to reveal the details, promising later to make a separate statement.
The decision to liquidate the fund was made on July 8, a month and a half after the organization was included in the register of foreign agents.
The reason for such a decision in the Ministry of Justice was called the receipt of Zimin’s money from abroad and financing the “liberal mission” Evgeny Yasin, which was also included in the register.
The second NPO in September was excluded from the registry, but Yasin explained that this would not affect the decision to close the fund.
The Ministry of Justice insisted that they did not make mistakes when included in the register of the “dynasty” that finances research in fundamental science. The “liberal mission”, which received funds from the Zimin Foundation, specialized in research in the field of economics, politics and the state.
