"Elections" in the LPR are scheduled for November 1

The head of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky appointed local "elections" in the territory of the "republic" as of November 1. The corresponding "decree" of the terrorist is published by the "Lugansk Information Center".

In the statement made in connection with the publication of the Decree, Plotnitsky noted that on November 1, only the “first stage of the local elections” will be held, during which it is supposed to “elect” heads of 8 cities and 6 regions of the Luhansk region controlled by militants. The "deputies" of all levels, as well as the heads of rural and village administrations, are supposed to be "to choose" later.

Carrying out "elections" in several stages Plotnitsky explained the lack of funds. "The needs of the republic, who attacked the punitive forces of Ukraine, are very high, and we have a lot of problems that require immediate financial investments," he said.

On Wednesday, "Elections" were appointed in the DPR . The head of the "Republic" Alexander Zakharchenko by his "decree" ordered them to hold them on October 18. At the same time, he also, referring to the lack of funds, announced the conduct of the "elections" in several stages. On the first of them, as in the LPR, it is supposed to "elect" the heads of cities and regions. To fully complete the "election process of the local level", according to Zakharchenko, is planned in the first half of 2016.

In early September, it was reported that the European Union and the United States are considering the possibility of imposing new sanctions against Russia , if the DPR and LPR refuse to hold local elections on October 25, simultaneously with the elections in the unoccupied territory of Ukraine. It was noted that the issue of the timing and conditions of the local elections in Donetsk should be one of the key and in negotiations between the leaders of the Norman Four, which may take place at the end of this month in New York during the UN General Assembly.
