The State Duma Committee in the draft version of the conclusion on the government bill, allowing the courts to arrest foreign property in Russia, proposes to expand the list of objects that apply to the document. It is reported by RBC.

The bill prepared in the Ministry of Justicewas submitted to the lower house in early August. The reason for his development was the arrest of Russian assets in France and Belgium by decision of the arbitration court in the Hague, which collected about $ 50 billion from Russia in the suit of the shareholders of the Yukos.

The document determines the circumstances in which Russian courts can consider claims against foreign states, regardless of the desire of the latter. According to the government bill, foreign states may, in particular, have seized real estate and other property located in Russia.

Meanwhile, the State Duma profile committee believe that the current edition of the document significantly limits the property liability of foreign states. Deputies consider it necessary to extend this responsibility to foreign property, also located in the territories under the jurisdiction of Russia according to the Constitution and the norms of international law, namely, on the continental shelf and in the exclusive economic zone of Russia.

In addition, deputies consider it possible to arrest the property that is in use of foreign states, for example, under an unlimited use and lease agreement, as well as property owned by a foreign state, but not used by it.

According to RBC, the head of the Communist Communist Sergei Gavrilov, an opinion on the bill will be considered on Tuesday.
