Mikhalkov’s “Sunny Blow” was put forward to the Oscar

The Russian Oscar Committee put forward an Oscar in the nomination "Best Film Language" Painting by Nikita Mikhalkov's nomination.

The film "Sunny Str that" was taken based on the works of Ivan Bunin - the story "Sunny Bun" (1925) and the diaries "Cursed Days" (1918–1920). The world premiere took place in October 2014 in Belgrade, soon the film was released and was shown on the Russia-1 television channel. In January 2015, the “Sunny Bun” received the film award “Golden Eagle” in the nomination “Best Film”.

“I did not count on it in any way. - Mikhalkov commented on the decision of the Oscar Committee. - And for me this is a very serious advance, even regardless of any result, an advance in terms of the attitude of my colleagues to me. I am very grateful to them for this. I am convinced that there were paintings that were worthy, except for ours, but since the choice fell on us, I feel a feeling of joy for all those who worked in our picture. ”

“As for the chances, I personally do not see them in the situation, I can only experience great satisfaction and the joy that my colleagues from the Oscar Academy will be forced to see my picture. Maybe she will touch any of them, ”said the director.

The last domestic film to win the Academy Award, Sala in 1994, Mikhalkov’s painting “Tired by the Sun”, also on Oscar nominated his films “Urga - Territory of Love” (1992, nominant), “Siberian barber” (1998), “12” (2007, “Tired of the Sun - 2: Citel” (2011).

Last year, the film by Andrei Zvyagintsev “Leviathan” was nominated from Russia to Oscar, which as a result was one of the prize nominees .
