39th Interdisciplinary School-Conference "Information Technologies and Systems" (Itis-2015), organized by the Institute of Problems of Transfer of Information named after A. A. Kharkevich of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPPI RAS), which recently completed work in Sochi, emphasized the development trends of science for the coming years.
The world is rapidly digitized, information networks are closer and more closely bind people and things. Information fragments were increasingly measuring in gigabytes and petabytes - the world is experiencing a real explosion of big data, they are called a key trend at the current stage of the evolution of technology, in economics and science. We are dealing with big data, when there is a lot of information, it is confusing, unstructured and comes to us very quickly, demanding equally fast processing. Their number of avalanches is growing - it seems that the same Law of Moore is working here, which speaks of doubling for the year of the processor power or, say, the reducing of the analysis of the genome.
Of course, Ippi RAS did not stay away, moreover, the trend saddled. The reports made it possible to feel that big data is not only the main modern “problem of transmitting information”, but also the most valuable resource, because from them it is possible to extract important information - about elementary particles, financial mechanisms, human aging, molecular evolution - if, of course, to be able to. The development of information technology that the conference was dedicated to joined the new phase - in the abbreviation IT, the emphasis has shifted from T to I, from technology for information.
The performance of the director of the Institute of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Kuleshov, was devoted to the practical analysis of big data, and above all, deep training - the most advanced and fashionable, but so far not to fully understood by the developers the data analysis method. Deep training gives particularly impressive opportunities for a computer analysis of the content of the video that filled the network.
It seems that the main inventions and discoveries of recent times are literally in all scientific sectors not associated with the physical properties of objects, but with their information filling. So, the ideas of cybernetics and data analysis as a universal language binding to different sciences are relevant and are in demand in practice as never before. The time comes when mathematical methods of data analysis turn out to be the center and point of scientific development.

Summing up, noted that the names of the lecturers who are already coming to Itis today emphasize its international scale and a high scientific level.
“We are ready to conduct Itis in the format of the All -Russian Scientific Conference, with a wide regional coverage. Preliminary agreements on the holding in 2016 of the ITIS conference as an all -Russian with the Fan of Russia were achieved, ”the organizing committee emphasized.
On the fields of Itis-2015, a working meeting of Alexander Kuleshov, professor at the University of South California Vladimir Zelman and the head of the neurophysiology laboratory and neurocomputer interfaces, Moscow State University Alexander Kaplan, took place. The parties expressed interest in joint work and outlined the ways of cooperation in the science of the brain, including in the field of invasive neuro interfaces. “This can be the beginning of a large long -term international interdisciplinary project,” said Vladimir Zelman.

The project is based on the idea of combining the achievements of the University of South California and the Laboratory of A. Kaplan at Moscow State University with advanced mathematical methods of data analysis developed at the IPPI RAS. As noted during the discussion, analysis and automatic interpretation of brain signals is one of the key tasks when creating modern neuro interfaces.

During the negotiations, steps were indicated on the path of implementation of the project for the current year. The first stage will be the visit of the delegation of IPPI RAS employees to the University of South California. The purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with the unique experience of foreign colleagues in neuromedicine and brain biology and discuss the open tasks of data analysis in these areas. The next step will be the work within the framework of the scientific and business program of the II International Interdisciplinary Scientific Forum “The Week of Science in Moscow”. The parties expressed the hope that a further step will be the launch of joint research and developments in the format of “mirror laboratories”.
