Appeal

Dear Colleagues !

A new season of collecting various kinds of information from us has begun. In response to another request, I sent the following message - and I encourage you to follow my example in one form or another.

Dear name,

1. I ask you to inform us for what purpose this information is collected,
2. how they will be processed,
3. What, according to your estimates, is the time required to collect and prepare the information you requested.

It seems to me that such points are an absolutely necessary part of any request sent to researchers from representatives of supervisory authorities. Moreover, if the request is sent not directly by a government agency, but by an intermediate operator, it would be correct to indicate in accordance with which point of the technical specifications and/or schedule it was sent. Generally speaking, it would also be optional, but extremely instructive, to indicate the cost of the operator fulfilling the corresponding item.
