Roskomnadzor ordered the leadership of the Russian site dedicated to Theravade - one of several main directions of Buddhism - to delete Russian translations of several texts of the Buddhist canon - Tititaki. “According to the experts of this organization, Buddha’s words contain propaganda of suicide,” the administrator explained the meaning of the claims of the RKN.

“For me, this requirement is absurd,” the Topper continued Panyavudho. “To ban the religious text from the Pali canon (another name of the Tititaki is from the name of the ancient language Pali, on which its texts are written. - Ed.) - this is about the same as trying to ban the Bible because of the cruelty and mass killings that are described on some of its pages.”

Despite disagreement with the position of RKN, the site administrator complied with the requirement. At the same time, he turned to lawyers from among the readers of the site for advice on the current situation.
