After the Winter Olympiad in Sochi, more than a year and a half has passed, but many residential buildings built specially for games are still not operated and destroyed due to looters and deficiencies. According to the editor -in -chief of the Blogsochi.ru website , the coordinator of the Open Power project Alexander Valov , among these objects - "apartment buildings for placing temporary personnel, volunteers and security forces involved during the XXII Olympic Games of 2014 in Sochi." This complex was built by order of the Olympstroy state corporation. True, he was not completely handed over to the Olympics.
We are talking about multi-storey buildings in the village of Veryel, on the border with Abkhazia (23 entrances of 9-storey houses along Tauride Street and 19 entrances of 12-storey Street Khudyakov Street), where numerous waiting lists could live for a long time. However, houses are empty, only a few families settled there, who are extremely unhappy with the quality of construction, although they entered into completely new houses.
As Alexander Valov notes, the buildings were built to settle in the apartments of those who were supposed to serve the Sochi Olympiad - volunteers, law enforcement officers and so on. Then, as the authorities explained then, the "waiting list" should have entered there. But many of these buildings were not completed to the Olympic Games - they were officially commissioned much later:
This picture can be judged by the quality of the construction of the complex
- We were promised that after the Olympics, about 4 thousand apartments, including these houses, will be distributed between the "waiting list". But we see how it all happens. In fact, the "lords" did not receive the apartments, only 7 families were populated - for 40 entrances! Let me remind you that all this was built at the public account, by order of the Olympstroy state corporation, and the structure Russian Railways (state -owned company "Russian railways". - RS) , which is also one hundred percent state. We spent a lot of money! I can’t name the numbers, they are not public. But we can observe terrible desolation in these houses and the work of looters, the plunder of all this state property.
- The houses from the outside look modern, and it is very strange that they are empty. After all, if people knew that there were these houses, they were built, and, as the authorities promised, for the "waiting list", they had to seek settlement there. How did it happen that so much time has passed and so far no one lives there?
Date on a torn seal - proof that the object was not handed over to the Olympics
- The administration made certain efforts in order to resettle the inhabitants in these houses, but the quality of these buildings leaves much to be desired, the roofs are leaking ... You have seen photos and videos - people complain about what is happening during the rains, all the walls get wet. There are 12-story buildings, water gets to the balcony, cannot leave the balcony, penetrates into the apartments and completely floods them. This leads to the wear of all these buildings. And if now all these shortcomings are not corrected, then at home in 5-10 years they will collapse. People simply refuse to settle in these apartments. They were given some kind of temporary housing when their own dwellings were selected for the construction of Olympic objects. The complex is located on the border, there is a special mode, guests just can’t come there. It is necessary to receive passes from the FSB to just visit friends. And plus such a quality of housing! In principle, residents prefer to stay somewhere in the city center. Among the seven families living there, there is a family from Krasnaya Polyana. These people agreed, and as a result, their apartment was robbed. There, the looters are in full program.
The doors installed in the apartments are simply hacking
- In one picture, a torn filling is visible, dated to the beginning of October 2014, that is, it was set after the Olympics. The fact that these houses were never built for games, although they were planned for volunteers, did this cause some reaction?
- Only five (!) Entrances from the order of forty were built to the Olympics. Everyone else was completed after. And they were completed just at the end of 2014. As far as I understand, the Russian Railways Stroy company was fined for not building an Olympic object in time. That is, initially it was an Olympic object, but then it was crossed out of the list of such objects, Russian Railways received a huge fine for non -fulfillment.

As a result, Russian Railways will probably decide on the sale of the complex. That is, they initially wanted to distribute it all to the "waiting list", but since they paid a huge fine, they most likely want to "repel" this money by selling all this property.
Alexander Valov recalls that this is not the first such story. He wrote about another village-ghost in April this year.
The correspondent of Radio Liberty visited another ghost village in the Vesel-PSOU area in April 2015. Of the 77 houses built back in 2012, only a few were populated. These houses were surrendered with complete finishing, but as soon as the builders finished working in them, looters came. As a result, the village resembles the scenery for a horror movie - there are almost no people here, abandoned houses are overgrown with grass.
Lyudmila Savelyeva and her family are now occupied by one of the houses in this village. In 2012, they were evicted from the house in which they used to live-the M-27 highway passed along it. According to Lyudmila, their family received neither new housing nor monetary compensation. Then the Savelyevs were equipped with a shed, in which they lived for a while. The shed was recognized as illegal construction and it had to be demolished.
In February 2014, the Savelyevs took up one of the empty houses in the village with self -capture, explaining this by the fact that they have nowhere else to go. After that, the local administration repeatedly sued the Savelievs with a demand for eviction. In April 2015, they (like many Sochi residents left without housing) tried to send a direct line with Vladimir Putin. However, the president, most likely, did not even know about her - the request on the air did not sound.
