Dengue Fever will perform in Moscow

On October 9 and 10, the club Mumiy Troll Music Bar in Moscow will take place concerts of the Cambodia-American group Dengue Fever.

The group was created in Los Angeles in 2001 by the keyboard player Ethan Holtzman under the impression of a trip to Cambodia. His brother Zach (guitar) and Chhhu Nimol (vocal), who sang in a cchmarian club in the nightclub “Little Phnomopen” joined him.

Later, the group included Senon Williams (BAS), Paul Smith (drums) and David Raliki (copper winds). According to Peter Gabriel, who produced Dengue Fever on his label, it is “a little Cambodian singer and hefty Americans”.

Moscow concerts are included in the European part of the Dengue Fever tour in support of their new album “The Deepest Lake” , released this year.

In his compositions to the corporate sound of the group-a mixture of the Cambodian stage of the 1960s and psychedelic rock-Latin rhythms, African percussion and the Khemeral rap were added.
