According to TASS , Troitsky was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("excitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity").
During the debate of the parties, Troitsky’s lawyer insisted on the innocence of the defendant, the musician himself intends to appeal the court decision. He explained that he could not pay a fine, because he does not have access to his bank accounts.
Troitsky said about the forbidden song that it was made on the Black List by mistake. “When the song received such publicity ... At all concerts of the nearest“ Beat the devil, save Russia ”will be performed,” he added.
The investigation claims that in 2013, at a concert in the Orel, Corrosion of Metal performed the song “Bay Chertey”, previously recognized as extremist. The prosecutor's office warned Troitsky about the ban, but he ignored this warning.
In May 2015, the Blagoveshchensk City Court, on the basis of the conclusion of the Far Eastern Regional Center for Judicial Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, recognized five songs of the Corrosion of Metal and Kolovrat groups on the VKontakte social network.
