In Kherson, an explosion at the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea

In Kherson on Wednesday night, unknown people made an explosion at the building of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the permanent representative of the president in Crimea Natalia Popovich.

The explosion damaged one of the front doors of the building. There was no information about other destruction, as well as about the victims.

According to the Kherson News, there is a version that the RPG grenade launched under the door of the institution, from which the fishing line was stretched into the arch of the neighboring courtyard, exploded. It is alleged that there was a notch from the projectile under the door.

In this regard, the version is expressed that the attacker could put the grenade in advance, and at night to come and pull the fishing line, and then hide by the courtyards. It is not excluded that the demolitioner left by car, since the service dog lost his trace in the first courtyard.

However, the deputy chief of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs Ilya Kiva told 112 Ukraine that the projectile had not a grenade, but an “explosion packet partially filled with metal objects”. “This explosive package was a small equivalent force - a little more, maybe than a large firecracker,” Kiva said. “But in any case, we regard this as a terrorist act.”

The security officer also specified the time of the incident - 3 a.m.

Regarding the possible causes of the Kiva attack, he noted: “One of the factors may be a peaceful action in relation to the occupied territory of the Crimea” (that is, the civil blockade of the peninsula. - Ed.).

The blockade of Crimea began on September 20. Representatives of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, with the assistance of Ukrainian activists and the support of the official authorities, blocked roads from all three checkpoints located on the border of continental Ukraine with the Crimea, are the Chongar, Chaplynka and Kalanchak checkpoint. Since then, not a single truck has been missed into the Crimea, and not a single loaded back. At first, the checkpoint had a turn of dozens of trucks, but only three days later, by the evening of September 23,all the trucks left the border plots back to the large land.

On Monday, the blockade participants blocked the railway branch leading from the continental Ukraine to the Crimean Titan plant in the occupied Armenian. The company belongs to the Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash. Activists laid two concrete blocks on the railway track, and also put an anti -tank hedgehog.

Earlier, the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov did not rule out that in October, the supply of electricity from continental Ukraine to the Crimea will be stopped. Meanwhile, 70-80 percent of the electricity consumed comes from the large land to the peninsula.

In Russia, like the authorities of Crimea, the blockade caused a nervous reaction. As previously noted by the National Leader of the Crimean Tatars, the ex-head of the Mejlis Mustafa Dzhemilev, 80 percent of the food products receives the peninsula from continental Ukraine.
