The Ministry of Justice is ready to consider the transfer of Nadezhda Savchenko to Ukraine. The press service of the Ministry of Justice, quoted by Interfax, says that extradition may occur if the verdict comes into force, and that the transfer of the convicted person may be refused if the receiving party does not recognize the verdict or the convicted person does not serve the sentence.
Currently, Savchenko's case is being considered in the court of the city of Donetsk, Rostov region. Savchenko is charged with the murder of Russian journalists and attempted murder of civilians out of hatred for the social group “residents of the Lugansk region (Ukraine)”, as well as illegal border crossing.
