Before meeting in Paris with Vladimir Putin, Angel Merkel, Francois Hollande and Petro Poroshenko for a long time discussed something among themselves. Already the format of such a conversation - at first we will talk ourselves, and then with it - demonstrates how actually the negotiations are related to the Russian president. Merkel and Hollande can try to make intermediaries to reconcile Russia with Ukraine as much as they like - but in fact they are simply frightened passers -by, whose main task is to protect themselves from a bully. The bully has already climbed into a neighbor’s apartment, carried out furniture and rowlite. The neighbor needs to help - but somehow so that the bully did not guess that passers -by do not like him and do not want to be friends with him. They really want. Here will come out a bully from a neighboring apartment - and immediately make friends and go together to drink vodka. Agreed, Vladimir?

Such a tripartite format is not new. Poroshenko had already negotiated with Merkel and Hollande - and Western leaders did not hide that they were coordinating their positions with the Ukrainian president, and then bring them to the attention of Putin. In fact, there was an inconspicuous revision of the initial plan of the meeting in Normandy - when Merkel and Hollande tried to look like peacekeepers. They in Minsk, however, tried. But after Minsk it turned out that Putin did not understand their main idea. They thought that together with Poroshenko they create conditions under which he could get out of his Ukrainian adventure with minimal reputation losses. And he still did not understand that this was an adventure. He does not want to get out of nowhere. He does not even understand how to get out without losing the remnants of greatness. And as a result, he was firmly bogged down in the Donbass - and now he still put the second leg in the Syrian deserts, for sure.

And then they realized that it was not for him to get out, but to them - Merkel and Hollande. They categorically do not want to look like people who cannot achieve peace in Europe. They do not want them to be unable to find a way to calm the raging bully. And they are trying to find a way out without him - because in search of a way out he is clearly not an assistant to them. Naturally, they are looking for with Poroshenko - because the Ukrainian president is vitally interested in finding this way out.

Thus, there is no "Norman four". Today Merkel, Hollande and Poroshenko will talk with Putin. And he will lie to them, try to blackmail them, prove that he is fulfilling everything, and Ukrainians break everything. And they will only nod their heads in crushed and repeat as instructions, which in the event of a breakdown of the Minsk agreements will follow the tightening of sanctions. It will be dreary and sickening - but they will sit with him to the end, to some new unintelligible formula, which at least guarantees that he will not fight in the Donbass at least in the near future.

And then Poroshenko will fly away, and he will remain and will prove to each of them that in Syria he wants only stability, that without Assad is nowhere and that he and Bashar will restore the world and defeat everyone. And he did not bomb the opposition, these are all the stuffing. And again they will be dreary and sickening, and they will again want to leave, but they will sit to the end, repeating that if he bombed the positions of the opposition, not ISIS, then Russia will be responsible for this. And he will again show them cards and photos and assure that he was slandered. They will leave, hoping that this conversation will help save at least some lives, and realizing that they did not save anyone, and they will be completely disgusting.

And he will fly away in the belief that he again deceived everyone.
