
Transaero bankruptcy is the only possible option for solving the situation with the air carrier. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukaev, reports Interfax .
“Now [attempts] to find other options were unsuccessful. We proceed from the fact that this is the only possible option, ”said Ulyukaev.
On October 1, the head of the Ministry of Transport Maxim Sokolov stated that the issue of Transaero bankruptcy remains in the competence of creditors. Sberbank later announced his readiness to start the bankruptcy process. At the same time, the IFC Bank, which is the largest shareholder of Transaero, suggested that the company be transferred to the management of crediting banks instead of bankruptcy.
After it became known about the financial difficulties of Transaero, it was decided to transfer 75% plus one promotion of Aeroflot. On October 1, however, it became known that the shareholders tore off the term of transfer of securities, and later Aeroflot said that he refused his offer.
From October 1, the Federal Air Transport Agency demanded that Transaero stop the sale of tickets.
