On Wednesday, Mediazon, citing a source close to the investigation, said that Veselov at a confrontation with Gorbunov called him and Turchak by the customers of the attack on Kashin . A few days later, Gorbunov called Veselov to a new meeting and demanded that the performers of the attempt "meet the journalist and injure his limbs, arms and legs." Veselov claims that his wife has a record of this conversation.

The attack on Kashin was committed the next day. After Veselov’s return to Petersburg, Gorbunov thanked him and handed him a bag, in which there were about three million rubles in cash. Veselov claims that he handed over 300 thousand of them to Kavtaskin, one million to the direct performer of the crime of Borisov, and left two million to himself. Gorbunov said that the performers need to hide, and they left for Belarus, said Veselov. He also recorded this and all subsequent conversations with Gorbunov.

Most of the testimony of Veselov is false, Gorbunov said during the confrontation. Veselov stipulates him due to the fact that he and all the faces he mentioned are involved in his abduction, says Gorbunov. He emphasized that the meetings were not related to the organization of the attack on Kashin. The fact of meeting with Veselov and Turchak in the Moscow restaurant Gorbunov also categorically denies.
