Russia is again involved in hostilities. As in Soviet times, there are pacifists and military who do not want to participate in another incomprehensible adventure. Anti -war demonstrations are relevant again. In the restructuring of one of the most active anti -war groups that regularly signed open letters and conducting shares, there was a “trust” group (the full name “for establishing confidence between the East and the West”).

The OVD-Info publishes an official response to the appeal of members of the Trust group with a request to allow the demonstration “in support of the persons evading service” in the army. It should be noted that after 1939 there was no alternative civil service in the USSR or pacifists or people who, for religious reasons, did not want to pick up weapons and take the oath, were undergoing criminal prosecution.
