Perhaps the only Russian picture is that I watch thousands of films during the selection to Artdokfest, so I say very responsibly - which represent the country's relevant political life. The picture is called “self -nominated” and talks respectively about self -nominated - a girl who, by the will of fate, director Julia Kiseleva began to shoot five years ago. She was one of the volunteers of the Center for Assistance to Lone old men, not indifferent, striving to somehow be useful to society-she expressed her ideas about life. Old shooting entered the picture as a prologue.
Then, having graduated from the university and being still an indifferent and active young girl, she decided to go to the polls-to the municipal deputies of the Bratevo district-as a self-nominee. Of course, we do not assume that a person without any party support can win these elections, but a miracle is performed before our eyes, she wins the elections and becomes a deputy. The persistent documentary director does not throw his hero on this-it would seem, here he is Saspens, the end of the film, was performed. But it is performed in documentary cinema - I already know from my own experience - usually after Saspens, and Julia is waiting for the right moment. She returns to the heroine, in my opinion, a year after her entry into deputy weekdays. And what we observe is absolute fantasy.
This is not the awakening of the heroine “Moscow does not believe in tears” in 20 years the director of the plant, which falls in love with Gosh. This is a transformation of a different properties, but no less fantastic, and watching our heroine more than exciting. I must say that I have not seen anything like this - for me this is a revelation. In general, the “self -nominated” is the only picture thanks to which it became clear to me why everything is just like that. “How” - we all understand it, but “why” is just like that - not everyone. In fact, this is such a Schwartsevsky “dragon”, only documentary.
