SBU: In Kyiv, an explosion is prevented on the day of the defender of Ukraine

Six people were detained in Kyiv, suspected of preparing for the undermining of one of the military enlistment offices of the city on the day of the defender of Ukraine on October 14. This was reported by "Ukrainian Pravda" with reference to the head of the SBU Vasily Gritsak.

All detainees said, Gritsak, citizens of Ukraine, residents of Kyiv and the region. They were taken on October 9 when transferring explosives. Nine searches have already passed in the case.

To the question, whose instructions were executed by the detainees, the head of the SBU replied: "The leader is sitting in Russia, and the coordinators are here, on the spot."

Gritsak noticed that this is the second group of terrorists. The first, he recalled, was detained in Kiev on the night of September 3 . These two groups, the SBU chief added, acted independently of each other.

The first group included four people. Its leader was a native of the Sakhalin region of Russia, participants were residents of Kyiv and the region. The SBU reported that they were all in a certain pro -Russian public organization, but the name of this organization was not specified.

The terrorists were detained with a vibal -shaped in the Obolonsky district in the north of the Ukrainian capital, when they were preparing to blow up the volunteer assistance point for ATO fighters. This item is located on the ground floor of a residential high -rise building. The 112 Ukrainian TV channel, however, argued that the terrorists were detained not at the collection of assistance, but at the office of the Right Sector.

As the special service reported, during the detention, terrorists resisted, blowing up the RGD-5 grenade. In response, the security forces opened fire, injuring one of the criminals in the leg.

It was also argued that the leader of the group immediately after the attack was supposed to leave for Crimea annexed by Russia.

Against the detainees, the case was opened under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (a terrorist attack committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), which provides from 7 to 12 years in the colony.

On October 14, it was officially declared the day of the defender of Ukraine in 2014 . On this day, the cover of the Virgin is celebrated - one of the main holidays of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. That is why the day of the formation of the Ukrainian rebel army in folk mythology is considered on October 14, 1942, although in fact, in the form in which this structure fought against the USSR, it was formed later - during 1943.
