An FSB officer was killed during a special operation in Dagestan.

Three militants were killed in the Dagestani village of Gimry, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported. During the special operation, an employee of a special unit of the FSB was killed.

The militants were blocked in a residential building. In response to the offer to surrender, they opened fire from cover, after which they were killed.

As stated in the message of the NAC, the killed militants are involved in attacks on police officers, as well as in extortion from local residents. According to law enforcement agencies, the seized money went to finance terrorist activities.
