NATO approved a resolution on solidarity with Ukraine

NATO parliamentary Assembly approved a resolution on solidarity with Ukraine. The text of the application is given on the page of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"The Assembly confirms its support for the government and citizens of Ukraine in their struggle for independence, as well as in their desire for European and Euro -Atlantic integration," the document says. The resolution is welcomed by the ceasefire, but it is noted that diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict with Russia should not jeopardize the territorial integrity of the country.

The Assembly calls on the governments and parliaments of NATO countries to double efforts "to help Ukraine at this critical moment." The document also refers to the need to support political, diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.

In September, with a two -day visit, Ukraine was visited by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He met with the President of the country Peter Poroshenko, promising Kyiv both political and practical support.
