On October 12, the Tsivilsky District Court of the Chuvash Republic found Anna Gavrilyuk, head of the local branch of the Young Guard of United Russia, guilty of violating the procedure for organizing a public event (under the first part of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Gavrilyuk was fined 10,000 rubles, the press service of the court told OVD-Info.
Gavrilyuk organized a march in support of the head of the republic, Mikhail Ignatiev, which took place in Tsivilsk on September 5, a week before the gubernatorial elections. After a complaint from members of the PARNAS party, the prosecutor's office began an investigation and found out that the local administration approved the holding of the event, despite the fact that the notification about it was submitted in violation of the deadlines, and the document did not indicate the goals and procedure for the event, as well as the contacts of the organizers. As a result, the prosecutor's office issued a presentation to the head of the administration, and the police filed a protocol on an administrative offense against the organizer of the march.
