Roskomnadzor spokesman Vadim Ampelonsky called the message that in the spring of 2015 an experiment was conducted during which the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and Roskomnadzor tried to simulate Russia's disconnection from the foreign segment of the Internet, was nonsense.

I do not want to refute someone else's nonsense. I don't know who screwed who. I'll just call a spade a spade. This "news" is nonsense.

• The experiment of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and Roskomnadzor was reported by the CNews edition with reference to the CEO of the ER-Telecom provider Andrey Semerikov. He said that during the experiment, instructions were sent to large telecom operators to block traffic that goes through certain trunk channels. According to Semerikov, it was not possible to completely block traffic: he continued to go abroad, and it turned out to be impossible to establish his routes.
