On October 15, the Board of Directors of the Russian Railways terminated the powers of the First Vice President Vadim Morozov, Vice President for Health and Public Organizations of Oleg Atikov and Vice President for Corporate Management and Strategic Development of Valery Reshetnikov. This newspaper Vedomosti was reported by two sources close to the board of directors of the monopoly, and one close to Russian Railways.
Morozov’s responsibilities (he was responsible for the general management and coordination of the company's production and economic activity) will go to the senior vice president of Russian Railways for the organization of railway transportation to Anatoly Krasnoshcheku. Morozov himself will not leave the company, but will become an adviser to the president of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov.
The interlocutors of the publication also reported that the Vice President for the Development of the Moscow Transport Knot, Peter Katskov, vice-president of infrastructure, Alexander Tsenko and Vice President for Human Resources and Social Affairs Dmitry Shakhanov, may leave the board.
The source told Vedomosti that the reduction in the number of members of the company's board is associated with the desire of the new head of the monopoly to optimize costs. The other day, he talked about the plans of the monopoly to reduce the costs of 50 billion rubles in 2016.
The former head of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin left his post in August 2015. Then Belozerov promised that permutations in the leadership are possible only if someone wants to leave voluntarily.
The rule of Russian Railways was the most numerous among state -owned companies - it included 25 people.
