Activist Marcel Sallakhudinov, together with students of the British Higher School of Design, launched a startup to assist migrants in Moscow.
Eurasia Card is a service program that includes medical care, legal support and employment services. Also, the card is provided with training in the Russian language, the pension program, binding to a bank account, preferential mobile communications and money transfers.
The social card of Eurasia Card can be purchased in Moscow and activate it for a period of three months to one year. Students of the British Higher School of Design Ksenia Zaitseva , Anna Rodova , Oleg Korshunov and Irina Galkina worked on improving and processing the project.
According to the authors of the project, the service scenario for servicing the migrant is divided into two stages. The first, preceding the move (1-3 months), and the second is the period of adaptation in Moscow after moving (up to 1 year). If you buy a card before leaving, you can avoid many problems. For example, study the labor market in advance and choose a place of work, determine housing, prepare a full package of documents, learn or increase the level of knowledge of the Russian language.
It is planned to open a card sales points in neighboring countries.
As part of the startup , a “guest of Moscow” was prepared. The booklet gives recommendations on how to behave, where to contact in the event of problems, how to move around the city, where to spend their free time and eat inexpensively. Each service user receives a memo with the Eurasia Card card.
Eurasia mobile application includes information about all the services of the service. With it, you can also see the balance of your account, transfer money to another user, pay for the extension of the card.
The application provides a SOS button for emergency situations. In this case, the migrant can receive quick assistance from other users of the program that are nearby.
“While working on the project, we met many talented and successful people who came to Moscow in due time. Despite the fact that they had to go through a difficult period of adaptation in the new conditions, they achieved a lot in life. We believe that with our service there will be more such stories, ”the students, authors of the thesis.
