In Moscow, the court arrested 20 alleged participants Hizb Ut-Tahrir

The judges of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow satisfied the petitions of the FSB to arrest 20 detained natives of Tajikistin. This is reported by Interfax.

The detainees are suspected of participating in the activities of the Hizb Ut-Taurir al-Islami organization. The organization in Russia is recognized as terrorist, its activity is prohibited. The criminal case was opened on October 12, while the investigation period was extended until December 12. The circle of persons brought to criminal liability may be expanded, since not all participants in the organization are established, representatives of the investigation said.

Only one of the detainees has Russian citizenship. The rest are foreigners who do not have registration. At the time of detention, they were unemployed.

On Tuesday, the Center for Public Relations of the FSB said that on the eve of Moscow and the Moscow Region, 22 participants of Hizb Ut-Taurir al-Islami were detained. “At present, the investigating authorities of the FSB of Russia, within the framework of previously initiated criminal cases, were detained 22 participants in the specified terrorist organization, including its leaders,” the special services said. “More than 25 searches were said, during which, along with another, extremist literature, means of communications, and information media with reports on the work of a terrorist organization.”

On October 11, the FSB reported the detention of suspects in the preparation of the attack in Moscow. The detainees, some of whom, according to the special services, underwent combat training in the camps of the Islamic State in Syria, admitted that they planned to conduct a terrorist attack in the public transport of the capital. It was noted that the detainees attended meetings of one of the cells of the Hizb Ut-Tahrir al-Islami movement.

The Investigative Department of the FSB opened a criminal case under part 1 of Article 30 of paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist attack by an organized group), part 3 of Article 222.1 (illegal turnover of weapons), part 1 of Article 30 - part 3 of Article 223.1 (preparation for the manufacture of explosive devices).
