
The Moscow District Military Court at a visiting meeting in Ufa, in the premises of the Supreme Court of Bashkiria, on Tuesday began to consider on the merits the case of publicist Robert Zagrev. This was reported by Radio Liberty. Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorism), the accused faces up to five years in the colony. Whether preliminary hearings were held in the case, not specified.
According to the prosecution, in the fall of 2012, Zagrev published on his Internet resources the religious and political treatise "Akhir Zaman" ("Light-abscuration") attributed to Ayrat Dilmukhametov . As far as is known, among these resources they call the Internet gas " Maidan RB ."
Dilmukhametov himself in the March of this year was convicted on charges of spreading Akhir Zaman by three years of strict regime under the same part 1 of Article 205.2. In July, the appellate instance upheld this sentence.
The regional headquarters of the FSB instituted the case on the fact of the publication of the treatise in July 2013. Earlier, in March of the same year, the Kirovsky district court of Ufa, at the request of the district prosecutor’s office, was recognized by Akhir Zaman with extremist material. In May, the Supreme Court of Bashkiria left this decision in force.
Initially, Zagrev went through one case with his colleague, however, due to the fact that he lived in Ukraine lately, the materials were allocated to separate production in his regard. In Russia, the publicist was put on the federal wanted list.
At the end of April 2015, Zagrev arrived in Ufa, planning to get a new passport in return for the expired and immediately return to Ukraine. However, he was detained right at the airport. Nevertheless, the publicist was not sent to the pre -trial detention center - initially he was placed under house arrest, and then released on a recognizance not to leave.
At the hearing on Tuesday, the prosecutor Rajiv Gaisin read out the indictment. There, in particular, it was stated: "By placing an article, Zagrev and Dilmukhametov realized that they publicly turn to an unlimited circle of people calling for a forcibly armed revolutionary change in the constitutional system of the Russian Federation and the construction of a separate state of Bashkurdistan."
Zagrev himself refuses to admit guilt. “In the case, solid inconsistencies,” he told Radio Liberty. “I still have proved my non -involvement in the site, the creation and moderation of which the investigation ascribes to me.”
At the same time, the publicist noted that, "given the political situation in the country, of course, there will be no excuse."
According to journalist Ramil Rakhmatov, who was a witness in the case, Zagrev, who is one of the most popular opposition publicists in Bashkiria, wants to neutralize the future in the next autumn of the State Duma.
On April 19, 2011, Zagrev and Dilmukhametov were already sentenced to real terms for publication on the Internet. Both found guilty under part 2 of article 205.2 (public calls for terrorism using the media), part 2 of Article 280 (public calls for extremism through the media) and part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred or enmity). Dilmukhametov, who had two conditional criminal records under the 282nd article, received six years of colony-settlement, Zagrev was given three and a half years.
On October 7, 2011, the Supreme Court of Bashkiria re-qualified parts of 2 articles 205.2 and 280 in the affairs of Dilmukhametov and Zagrev to part 1, excluding the qualifying sign of the use of the media, and reduced the terms of up to three years and six months, respectively. On October 18, Zagrev was released. Dilmukhametov later achieved a reduction in a term of up to two years and freed himself in August 2012, completely serving two years of imprisonment.
