
The founder and coordinator of the Gulagu.net project Vladimir Osechkin fled from Russia, fearing the arrest in the fraud case, as part of the investigation of which his colleague Denis Soldatov was previously arrested. This conclusion makes it possible to make publications on the Gulagu.net website and on the personal FB page of Osechkin.
On the project’s website, the “characteristic” of Osechkina, signed by Irina Buntova, was placed on Wednesday, a representative of convicted Vitaly Buntova, whose interests were defended by the Gulagu.net project. This paper dated October 16 says that Osechkin "was forced to leave the borders of the Russian Federation in connection with the persecution of his authorities in the Russian Federation and real threats of physical reprisals for the protection of prisoners, victims of torture and abuse of power, as well as for his fundamental human rights and anti -corruption activities."
Earlier, on October 13, Osechkin wrote on Facebook that the operatives of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs visited one of the insurance companies, which, on his initiative, began to insure the prisoners from torture and other illegal actions of the FSINESS in order of the experiment. The operatives were looking for Osechkin and threatened the company with a closure. “In parallel,” continued the Gulagu.net coordinator, “investigator Kondratenko received” from Denis Soldatov, who was contained in a crowded cell No. 311 of the Sailor Silence of SIZO, indications for me, supposedly my involvement in something. ”
We are talking about the case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale), which provides for up to 10 years of the colony. On September 9, as part of the investigation of this case , Osechkin and Soldatov were searches . After the search, Soldatov was detained, and two days later they arrested .
According to the Investigative Committee, in 2013, a certain Natalya Malinina, the daughter of an arrested in a criminal case, turned to Osechkin. He addressed her to Soldatov. Soldatov, on the other hand, stated the investigation, convinced Malinin to pay him 1 million rubles in exchange for services, which he was obviously unable to provide.
Osechkin is 34 years old. In 2007, he was arrested in a large-scale fraud case, embezzlement and money laundering. In 2011, he was condemned by seven years in the colony, but in the same year he was released conventionally.
After liberation, Osechkin began a human rights career, founding gulagu.net. Soon he became an expert at the Open Government and the Presidential Council of Human Rights, a member of the Council for the Development of Public Control under the State Duma Committee on Public Associations.
Osechkin advocates the legalization of requisitions from the families of prisoners . This is what the initiative of insurance of convicts that he advanced.
In addition, Gulagu.net coordinator collaborates with United Russia and security forces, participates in attacks on independent human rights defenders. In particular, he opposed the head of the then committee against the torture of Igor Kalyapin.
Osechkin also proposed to develop the Ethics of the human rights activist and draw up “Black Lists” on its basis. In them, in particular, he proposed to include the founders of the project "Zone Law" Maria Alekhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikov.
