1870. Ivan Bunin was born

145 years ago, on October 22, 1870, the Russian writer Ivan Alekseevich Bunin was born, the Nobel Laureate in the 1933 Literature Prize "For strict skills with which he develops the traditions of Russian classical prose." During the Second World War, Bunin and his wife Vera Nikolaevna covered at least three Jews in her house in the south of France.
