The rating of approval of the activities of President Vladimir Putin set a new record - 89.9 percent, the All -Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion reports . This is at eight tenths of percent higher than the previous maximum recorded in July.

VTsIOM sociologists associate a new record with the Russian air operation in Syria. This event was called the main 26 percent of respondents over the past week. Further, with a large margin, sports news were held (9 percent). At the same time, almost half of the respondents could not remember what event of the past week attracted their attention.

In 2012-2013, Putin’s rating, according to VTsIOM polls, amounted to from 58 to 68 percent. However, after the annexation of Crimea, it increased sharply and for a year and a half did not fall below 80 percent.

Russia has continued the bombing of Syrian territory from September 30. The declared goal of the operation is the fight against IS terrorists. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that it strikes accurate blows from which the civilian population does not suffer. At the same time, civilian objects also suffer from the blows of Russian aviation, and civilians, including children, are dying and are injured.

On October 7, on Putin’s birthday, the ships of the Caspian flotilla launched 26 caliber-NK missiles for 11 objects in Syria. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, all goals were successfully amazed, but there were no victims among civilians. At the same time, the Pentagon confirmed that four missiles did not reach Syria and fell in Iran.
