The work of Russian President Vladimir Putin is approved by 89.9 percent of Russians surveyed. This is a new national record, claims the All -Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion . VTsIOM (experts consider this sociological center close to the Kremlin) explains that such a high rating is recorded in connection with the Russian military intervention in Syria - this event was called the main 26 percent of the respondents over the past week.
At the same time, almost half of the respondents found it difficult to answer the question of what the main events of the past week were. The survey was conducted among one and a half thousand people in 46 regions, edges and republics of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5 percent. According to VTsIOM statistics, the assessment of the head of the Russian state for more than a year and a half exceeds 80 percent: Putin’s rating began to grow in the spring of 2014 amid the accession of Crimea to Russia. All this actually means that both a deep degradation of public opinion itself and the departure of citizens from the principles of rational thinking. Back in the 90s in Russia, there were different political leaders, starting with Zyuganov and ending with Lebed, Yavlinsky, Zhirinovsky and others who could represent some kind of alternative to power, and now they all, firstly, have left the same new people, and secondly, they are twice lower than television propaganda. As in the days of the Soviet Union, the country rises higher in the virtual space, and further deviating from the mundane, boring reality, in which the standard of living is gradually declining, and the ruble rate is constantly falling ... But we have Vladimir Putin, but we believe in it! A lot more depends on the formulation of questions, of course: if people asked how they feel the prospects - and sociologists also ask these questions - then many would say: in the near future it will be worse. Well, what, but we have a person around whom we rally! This feeling of virtual cohesion is more expensive in the eyes of the current public opinion than a rational awareness of reality. Reality is worse, and in the virtual space we are stronger.

This is very sad, because in fact it means: society cannot affect the formation of elite groups and its political fate. Society moved its fate to the political leader. - If we consider the strategy a system of priorities, focused on the preservation of power in the hands of the same group, then yes, it can be considered successfully implemented. But in fact, a political strategy is understood by rationally thinking people a little differently. Should Russia occupy an increasing role in the global economy? Yes, it should. Should Russia be a more influential country? Yes, it should. But in fact, we see that Russia is a regional power with the economy a little less than in Spain! Instead of a respected and strong country, the influence of which is based on a positive example of economic growth and social security of citizens, we are told about the political influence of Russia, measured by military potential! This is again the Soviet system, when it seemed that we were very strong, because everyone was very afraid of us.
