Putin: "If the fight is inevitable, you need to beat first"

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking of a military operation in Syria against militants of the Islamic State organization banned in Russia, spent a parallel with his childhood in Leningrad.

Putin also noted that the actions of Russian aviation in Syria did not affect the terrorist threat to the country: it has not become more or less.

The head of state also said that he was proud of Russian pilots who take part in surgery in Syria:

“This is the highest aerobatics, in the figurative sense of the word. The pilots, of course, deserve all respect. Our military in Syria, of course, fight terrorism, in this sense, of course, protect the interests of the Syrian people, but not only. First of all, they protect the interests of Russia and the Russian people. ”

The president noted that the military, of course, risk their life and health, but they made a choice in favor of the profession voluntarily.
