SERB representatives attacked activist Vladimir Ionov, who was holding a single picket

Representatives of the NOD and SERB movements attacked activist, pensioner Vladimir Ionov, who was holding a single picket in the center of Moscow near the Historical Museum, reports OVD-Info.

Ionov was standing at the picket with a poster that read “Putin exists, no need for intelligence,” when movement activists approached him. In particular, SERB leader Igor Beketov, better known as Gosha Tarasevich, approached the pensioner and began to reproach the picketer for insulting the President of Russia.

Soon after this, Ionov was doused with paint and sprinkled, presumably with flour. The picketer's poster was torn.

According to updated information, Ionov was doused with a liquid similar to ammonia and sprinkled with washing powder. An ambulance was called for the activist: doctors diagnosed Ionov with a 1-2 degree burn to his eye. He intends to file a complaint against the attackers at the Kitay-Gorod police station.

In January of this year, 75-year-old Ionov became involved in a criminal case for repeated violations of the established procedure for organizing or holding a public event. Pensioners regularly go to the monument to Marshal Zhukov or the Historical Museum with posters criticizing the Russian authorities, holding single pickets.
