The leader of "Law and Justice" Yaroslav Kachinsky did not apply for the post of prime minister, but nominated for this position a relatively little-known Beat Shidlo. The party founded its campaign on promises to increase social payments, counteract the introduction of the euro and prevent the influx of Muslim migrants on Polish territory. The party also always advocated the strengthening of NATO as a counterweight of threat from Russia.

Shedlo expressed gratitude to the Poles for the support provided. “We won because they invariably accepted all the challenges standing in front of us and walked in the footsteps of the deceased Lech of Kachinsky,” she said. “We could not win if it weren’t for the Polish people who told us about their dreams and needs and who eventually voted for us.”
